My boyfriend and I have had very little luck raising baby flowers, bonzai, or even sea monkeys. For one reason or another, nothing ever takes.
It always starts out the same:
"Oh, look! Our seeds have sprouted!"
or
"I can't believe it! The tree is already growing!"
or
"Our sea monster babies hatched!!!"
But in no time, the flowers wither, the tiny tree fades, and the sea monkeys... well, they just disappeared, if you ask me.
We were lamenting our failed attempts at everything when the idea of fish came up. Why not? They pretty easy, and they're lots of fun to look at.
Yes, we decided. We'll get fish babies. Finally we'll raise something properly.
A few days and dollars later, and so far so good! *knocks on wood* :) I love our goldfish so much, I've decided to post little updates on their adventures. They live where our bedroom TV used to be, so now we watch The Fishy Show every night before sleep. :) I'll share the best of The Fishy Show episodes here.
Enjoy!

Those sea babies are creepy anyhow! If they lived and grew up for every child who's ever had them, they would have taken over the world by now, and WE would be living in tanks!
So you can't keep plants alive.. so you decide you'd like to kill fish too. -.-;;;
I should have been more clear. :) We decided to keep fish because, though they certainly die, too, my boyfriend and I both have experience caring for fish, and we're pretty confident we won't kill them like we do bonzai trees. lol Rest assured that unless one of our fish is sick (*sniff* Yitzhak), he or she will live a long, happy life in a big, comfy tank. :)
